Hello! My name is Dru, and I am a graduate student coordinator for the TA Training Program in the UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems. During my Masters degree in Soil Science, I have become increasingly interested in teaching and learning, and I am really looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s experiences in teaching students to teach.
See you all tomorrow!

Hi all! My name is Nikta. That’s pronounced NEEK-tah, and I’m super excited to be a volunteer for the conference. Catch me anytime during the two days if you have any questions. I’m the coordinator for the Biology Program TA Training at UBC – check out our poster! 🙂 My personal interest is in anti-oppression training for TAs and educators – if you have the same passion, let’s talk!

Hi everyone,
I’m a physics PhD students from UBC and I coordinate my department’s TA Professional Development along with two other grad students. Aside from that I hunker down in my lab, play with lasers and push nanoparticles around 🙂 I’m very excited to share ideas with you all and discuss how GTA training is implemented across the country (and beyond apparently!). Looking forward to meeting everyone!
